The safety and comfort of our students is, and always has been, our number one concern at Yoga On Mars. We know that we all need to do our part in combating the COVID-19 virus, so we've shared our protocol to let you know we're doing ours.
Our class size has been cut down in order to allow for adequate space between students. Class sizes will be limited to ensure six feet of distance between each attendee. No hands-on assists will be utilized in class unless absolutely necessary, as in a student is at risk for an injury. Person-to-person contact will be limited as much as possible. We ask students to please sign up for class ahead of time and pay online, so that we can forego credit card or cash transactions. If you do need to pay for something in-studio, we will have you swipe your card through our reader, so as to limit contact.
Bring Your Props...
If you can, we urge you to bring your own mat and any props you have and would like to use for class. We ask that students use our cleaning solution to wipe down their personal mat and props after class is over.
Students are instructed to wipe down their borrowed mat and props with our cleaning solution after class has ended. Any borrowed equipment can remain on the studio floor after it's wiped down by the students. Our instructors will reorganize and wipe down props & mats for a second time once students have cleared out.
Our instructors at Yoga On Mars have been given a strict cleaning protocol to follow. All teachers have signed off on these guidelines and understand them fully. These guidelines include step by step directions to disinfect all hard surfaces (doorknobs, tabletops, chairs, floors, etc.), disinfect all props, and restock all soaps/sanitizers/clean towels, leaving a clean environment for the next class to arrive into. Cleaning guidelines will be carried out at the end of every class/workshop/private that takes place. A copy of the cleaning protocol has been provided to each one of our team members and posted clearly at the studio to streamline the maintenance process and ensure it's success.
Cleaning of the studio - practicing Saucha - has always been important to us, but given these unprecedented times, we have devised a structured hand-out with clear and concise directions for our team so that nothing is missed. Please know that we will do our part to ensure a safe and clean environment for our students, and we urge them to do theirs as well! Remember to wash your hands frequently, sneeze/cough into your arm, and if you're not feeling well, stay home.
We will continue to take care of our space and our students as we always have. We want to be transparent when it comes to the standards of maintaining a clean, healthy environment. Our space is your space; you are safe.
Love & Light,
Your Friends & Instructors at YOM
